Pricing Information
So you’ve come to this page trying to find out how much we cost. If that was your very first question in selecting an entertainment company, you may want to reconsider your selection priorities!
So many couples call us and email us and the only question some have is “How Much?”. Your focus should be on quality and although price should be a factor it should not be the main factor in your search. You are going to want your reception to be perfect in every way including a DJ who will keep your guests entertained, excited and involved over the course of 5 or 6 hours. As with everything else in today’s world…. you get what you pay for. The level of quality you desire is directly related to the price you pay. This applies to all the products and services you select for your reception.
You should probably consider the following questions first in your selection process. The answers to these questions will more than likely justify the price you pay. Cheap is not always a bargin and in many cases this is just like buying the real thing rather than a “knock off”.
- Is the company a Full Time Business? If you are dealing with a corporation you are off to a good start.
- Is the company insured? Can they handle any accidents that may and sometimes do occur at events. Many venues are now demanding that the company be insured to perform at their sites.
- Is the company responsive? If you don’t hear back within 24 hours during the business week, they are not focusing on customer service.
- How many and what kind of events does the company do on an annual basis? Some number over 100 will tell you that they are known and used frequently in the community.
- How many experienced DJs are employed by the company? Remember, experience is not based on how many years you’ve done something. It’s based on how many things you’ve done and the recognition that goes with it.
- Does the company have reliable references? Has your venue or photographer ever heard of and worked with the company? Would they recommend them? Also look for testimonials from past clients. Awards and recognition also make a difference.
- Will the company meet with you prior to signing a contract? You’ve probably met face to face with most of your vendors, why not your DJ?
- Does your company have an office and a staff where they can operate from? Meeting in a coffee shop or burger joint isn’t an office.
- Can You See A Performance? Be suspicious if they won’t let you view a performance. Good DJ’s aren’t hidden.
- Does the company do more than entertainment? This is usually a “red flag”. If you need a photographer, hire a photographer. If you need a DJ hire a DJ. Remember the saying… “Jack of All Trades; Master of None”. You may think the combined price is great but remember…. it’s all about quality.
- Do They Provide a Contract? Spoken words and agreements are great but not binding.
- Does the company accept credit cards as a form of payment? Another good indication that you are dealing with a real company. Individuals usually don’t, because it costs them money for every transaction.
So in summary… a great price is good only if it represents quality for your money. If a company’s quote seems too good to be true, it probably is.
Remember, you owe it to your guests and yourself to provide entertainment that will keep them entertained throughout the evening. That’s no small task for someone who doesn’t know how to do it. Good talent costs money and our DJs are very well paid due to their experience, reputation and their ability to provide awesome entertainment. Quality and pay (price) go hand and hand and we don’t skimp on quality talent. If you are in a budget crunch, list all the things you need at your reception in order of importance. Then if you have to cut, eliminate or adjust things at the bottom of the list…. not the top!
Our pricing is competitive with all of the reputable entertainment companies in the area. You will only be billed for the hours we perform. There our no “gimmick” packages to confuse you and trap you. We are not the cheapest and we are not the most expensive, but our clients think we are the best money can buy! Unfortunately when it comes to your reception you won’t have a second chance to change things. Do it right the first time!
